The youngest member of the band, Rahul holds his own both in the jam room and on stage. His journey has been one of relentless pursuit. Rahul began learning tabla in Chennai at the age of four and soon progressed to learning drums and percussions.
As a young, 11 year old child, Rahul took to performing on stage, in temples and at marriage functions while dedicating time for both his music and studies. During this time, Rahul also travelled and performed professionally in some of the remotest villages of South India.
Rahul has collaborated with independent artists, carnatic musicians and performed at popular college festivals of IIT Madras and NIT Trichy. Rahul has also freelanced and worked on background tracks in multiple movies. Today, Rahul is a well-known session musician and has performed with the likes of Stephen Devassy, Raghu Dixit, Devashree Prasad, Alap Raju, Mandolin U Rajesh, and Grammy award winner Vikku Vinayaka Ram.
Trivia:
Rahul has also performed atop bullock carts that were used in lieu of a stage.
